Really need a good high quality headlamp that’s going to last. Haven’t had any luck finding anything that will last over about a year and then they just start crapping out. Don’t really want to buy a new one every year. Also don’t want a huge monstrosity that’s heavier than it’s worth.
Our current front runner was the one below. But they don’t last over a year before something happens internally and they just quit shinning with any brightness.

Anybody got a solid lamp which doesn’t have a separate battery pack on the back?

I have 3-4 of these stashed around the house truck and trailer and I really like them. I've not had any issues with longevity but I probably don't use them as often as you do. They are small but still bright. Price is good too.
